About us

We have built this site with the goal of bridging the gap in knowledge translation between research findings and current clinical practice in an e-learning format. This site can be used in conjunction with StrokEngine and StrokEngine Assessment to help students and clinicians find the most current information about the value of the various interventions and on the usability of assessment tools used in stroke rehabilitation.

Upon selecting the e-learing module you will be presented with a patient's medical chart which includes: current status, medical history, stroke-related information, imaging, test results and videos. When you feel ready you can put your knowledge to the test by answering assessment and intervention questions.

The goal is to provide you with best practice information, which is practice that is based on scientific evidence of its effectiveness. A dedicated team of senior researchers, graduate fellows and research assistants with expertise in specific areas also contribute to creating and evaluating the quality of each module. You can find out more about these people by visientin the StrokEngine's Team page.

Our goal is to provide you with an easy, accessible site. Should you have any suggestions or comments on how this site could better meet your needs, please contact us.
